Green Township OKs Mercy hospital plan - Dallas Business Journal:

The plan passed 3-0. “We’rre very pleased to get to this stage and exciteds to take thenext step,” said Pete Gemmer, spokesman for Mercy. “We realize there is still a lot of work to do and we look forwarfd to continuing to work with the residente and the township leaders to developl a hospital everyone can be proud The project will now be submitted to the Hamiltonb County Regional Commissionfor consideration, probably next Gemmer said. The planned hospital and parking areas would cove about 40 acres and sit near toInterstatre 74. The facility, to cost $200 could open in early 2014.
The proposer site is 60 Mercy has said it will close itstwo West-Side Mercy Hospital Western Hills and Mercy Hospitalp Mount Airy. The new hospital, with 200 to 250 will be a replacemenyfor them.
