Since Friday, the average price per gallon for regular gas has increasedx by a penny in the Philadelphia region to Prices also climbed by 2 cents in Delawarrto $1.56 per gallon, by 4 cents in New Jerse y to $1.51 per gallon and by 8 centw in South Jersey to $1.52 per Pennsylvania’s average remains unchange at $1.68 per gallon. Despite the slight AAA Mid-Atlantic expects prices to fall lowetr in theNew Year. “The New Year begins on a positives notefor motorists, who are paying nearly one billion dollars less for gasoline then they were in mid-Julyt when the price of fuel hit its high-watet mark,” Catherine L.
manager of public and government affairsa atAAA Mid-Atlantic, said. “The average retai price could still move lower in comingf daysand weeks, possibly as low as $1.50 a galloj between now and the end of February.”
